Challenge

Working in-house as a Senior Manager, I was tasked with devising the first communications strategy for The IN Group - the new talent solutions mothership to house four existing sub-brands. 

​

One week in, I realised there was an issue - the group had no brand I could build from.

 

Explaining this would make my job impossible, the SMT agreed to hire BTL Brands to look after all things brand with me and get us where we needed to be. ​​

TIG's CEO and CRO are sound people. They took time to ​talk to me in my first week and explain what they felt was special about the group. The entire brand evolved fluidly from those two conversations and one one workshop. 

​

To give TIG and its brands equal exposure in our content marketing plan, I developed two magazines - Powered Up and Unlocked (core brand messages). These gave each specialism a means of showcasing their expertise, and the MarComms teams six themes to build upon.  â€‹â€‹

  • TIG's branding and communications did what the SMT wanted it to do: position TIG as a 'truly human' talent solutions group. 

  • ​'Unlocking' talent, opportunities, and ambition shaped everything from the strap-line to photography and logo design.

  • The focus on 'unlocking the power of people' inspired staff who affectionately referred to themselves as Tiggers.

  • The clarity of the group’s vision, mission, and commercial offering gave each of the brands a way to cross-sell talent solutions - which was exactly what it was meant to do.
